Benefits of Quail Eggs

We’re buying chicken eggs when I saw quail eggs on sale, I found it cheap so I bought  one set.  When we reached home I’ve boiled them for three minutes what make worst is quail eggs  are too hard to peel, so I’ve waited for few minutes until the eggs are cold.

According to what I have read in ehow, egular consumption of quail eggs helps fight against many diseases. They are a natural combatant against digestive tract disorders such as stomach ulcers. Quail eggs strengthen the immune system, promote memory health, increase brain activity and stabilize the nervous system. They help with anemia by increasing the level of hemoglobin in the body while removing toxins and heavy metals. The Chinese use quail eggs to help treat tuberculosis, asthma, and even diabetes. If you are a sufferer of kidney, liver, or gallbladder stones quail eggs can help prevent and remove these types of stones.

Pookie bear came home with colds and of course I have to have his colds in order he will be okay, like as usual while he is laughing because he feels good I am like a chicken here with colds. Dunno why I always got sick when he got one but I can’t transfer back to him.  Unfair isn’t it?

My Box of Polysaccharide Iron Complex

As I have blogged lately I am bored but I just found out it is not really boredom, it is simply tiredness. I am not very energetic, I even feel weak going to gym. I already observed for the past few months that I always got a cold feet and hands, my husband keep teasing me I am a cold blooded. If before wearing socks can comfort me these past few days it won’t anymore, I still feel cold not my entire body but as what I have said just my feet and hands. So last night I research what does this feeling cause, so here’s what I have found out:

  • Parasites
  • Allergies
  • Hypo-Thyroidism
  • Anemia
  • Candida
So probably I am anemic, lack of iron in short because I am not eating a balance diet and I just eat two times a day with big servings, I sleep late as two o’clock in the morning sometimes later than that.

So today I went out to buy iron supplements. The pharmacist gave me two kinds of iron supplement I picked this one because this is the cheapest for $55.08, the other one is times two.  It is 120 tablets good for 4 months.  When I reached home, Pookie bear asked me to return it to the pharmacy because it is very expensive just for iron supplements but I didn’t follow him because it is such an embarrassment. So the end result I have to pay for it, my three weeks allowance was gone. Huhuhu

Just a little information Anemia is a decrease in number of red blood cells (RBCs) or less than the normal quantity of hemoglobin in the blood and is the most common disorder of the blood.  Some common ymptoms are feeling of weakness, or fatigue, general malaise and sometimes poor concentration. They may also report dyspnea (shortness of breath) on exertion. In very severe anemia, the body may compensate for the lack of oxygen-carrying capability of the blood by increasing cardiac output. The patient may have symptoms related to this, such as palpitations, angina (if preexisting heart disease is present), intermittent claudication of the legs, and symptoms of heart failure.

Hopefully the feeling that I can’t explain that there are days I feel tense that my heart palpitates abnormally is because of being anemic and not a heart disease, and I also hope my frontal headache is because of being anemic and not because of my eyes, I don’t want to wear eye glass and I think my blood don’t really circulate well because sometimes I feel pain like electricity shock on my arms and legs plus I cannot crack my fingers, I remember when I had a massage my aunt says  if I can cracked my fingers, it means good blood circulation but I can’t so it is not good circulation.

Food intolerance or food poisoning?

As I blog last night my head is bothering me since I wake up. Thinking it is just starvation I ate but instead of a big help my headache worsen. Can’t even look at my computer screen, so this was the time I feel like vomiting so I decided  to throw up all the food I ate, yes decided because I put my two fingers on my throat so I am gonna throw up. Goodbye food, I did not stop until my stomach is all empty. Guess what happened? I feel relieved, my headache was gone. Food poisoning again like what happened in airport when we are going to China? As far as I remember all I have eaten that night is the chocolate’s stick and before that I drink banana milk, I guess it’s the milk because the expiry date was last night.
I guess I need to be very extra careful with the food I ate because my stomach, immune system what ever is not that strong because I always end as patient victim. Like for example when I am still in college way back home, after eating our dinner I had a severe headache and I felt my face is getting hot. My mother asked me to eat sugar and she put some young leaves of a lime into my head pulse because they thought its air or whatever (copying my aunt when she had an headache she always had those leaves) . I fall asleep with a headache, so when I wake up in the morning I feel better. I ate the left over fish we had that night for breakfast and as I am washing the dishes the familiar feeling occur, headache and hot face. Is it food poisoning or allergy? Anyway that’s not the first time it happened to me, it is just the second time. The first time is when I ate boiled eggs, my father arrived home from Manila they worked there for few months. Cleaning his things I’ve seen two boiled eggs as what he said he bought in the ship, so I’ve eaten it for my meal. Then it all started, it already happened thrice here in Korea as far as I remember.
It  seems my mother is right “ang katakawan ko ang papatay sa akin” (being voracious will kill me)  because I always feel sick upon eating something. Anyway I slept with an empty stomach last night, I just had a coffee after the incident, I am looking for the wheat bread but a voracious bear ate it all. Huhuhu

Every week I have a chocolate allowance, chocolate because it is not that big so I can have a shopping free in the shopping district near here. Anyway even it’s big it will all end in chocolate anyways, the tight me will not buy something unless needed or unless it is a chocolate either a body care product which is on sale. So my husband gave it to me and he gave me an extra so I can buy my own meal because I told him I am hungry but I have nothing to eat (even there is), I just don’t feel like eating the food I am seeing eating everyday. I am planning not to buy any and just save all of my money for future expenses like the postal for my giveaway (hahaha). But the pookie bear won’t agree with me, buy a food or no extra? So of course I don’t like the idea so I went out to family mart. When I was there, I picked a ready meal and two gimbap trying to save more. Lucky or unlucky but the meal I have picked is already expired. Lucky because their counter machine is always updated with their product information  because if not I will end as patient again (lol). That’s why there is an expiry date to see (blind me). So I decided to pick some dumplings and the gimbap, I am already going to pay when my eyes landed on the small containers of peanut. Your guess is right as mine, instead of saving and just using my extra allowance I’ve use mine too. Huhuhu

Until now I don’t know what is my condition I mean that condition food poisoning or allergy?
Anyway this is what I found out food poisoning has two types infectious agent and toxic agent. Food infection refers to the presence of bacteria or other microbes which infect the body after consumption. Food intoxication refers to the ingestion of toxins contained within the food, including bacterially produced exotoxins, which can happen even when the microbe that produced the toxin is no longer present or able to cause infection. In spite of the common term food poisoning, most cases are caused by a variety of pathogenic bacteria, viruses, or parasites that contaminate food, rather than chemical or natural toxins.
Headaches Caused by Food

People find that they have intolerances to foods such as wheat, other grains, fruits, dairy products and a variety of other foods. If a person suffers headaches caused by foods it is important to go through a process of elimination (I think it is elimination or discharging when I throw up all the food in my stomach). Food allergists can assist a person in eliminating probable food causes one by one from the diet until the guilty foods are found.

To know more about this information just click the title above that’s where I found the article I have pasted.  I don’t own it.

I think the above sentence fit for me, maybe I have intolerances to some food. Tsk, here I am again self medication. I think much better if I took a nursing course because I am expert in self medication. Haha, joke. Or maybe I have diabetes because it also says that getting headaches after eating can be an early sign that diabetes may be a problem.

Saturday Headache

Last night or maybe already today we slept at around 4:30 in the morning, I’ve ask my husband to wake me up at nine in the morning because I have to finish something but I have changed my mind and ask him to wake me up at twelve in the afternoon. So he did but I was not able to wake up because my eye lids are still too heavy. I went back to sleep and ask him to wake up after one hour, time passed I opened my eyes then he told me if I know its already 2:30 in the afternoon, that’s where the time I am fully awake and grab my computer immediately and this is where I realized my head is aching. Dunno what happen last night while I am sleep why is it aching, all I know I ate chocolate sticks before we sleep I ate all of it. I never learned my lesson, when I ate too much chocolate I always have a headache.
So I am not feeling well the half day (because I wake up afternoon already) until now, my head still bothering me. We went out a while ago and buy some soy milk and other food for Pookie bear’s cheat day.  So this is what we got..

Black olives and sausages to make a sandwich.  He don’t allow me to take pictures but I insisted (lol), he even ask me to slow down because I started eating his black olives, I guess one of the reason why my head aches because I starved myself. When I ate sandwich tonight it was the time I realized I am hungry, darn I am using the computer too much and it is not anymore healthy because I forgot to eat and sometimes to withdraw my food as in p**p. Excuse me..

Crab Allergy

I have nothing to do, bored and itchy.  I think I had an allergy eating Crab Kimchi, both of my arms started to itch and became reddish in color. I can’t resist scratching it so I put petroleum jelly, it works a bit but I don’t feel well. I asked my husband to make a coffee for me, hmm even though he is a head butt sometimes he is still so sweet especially when I am not feeling well. Thanks sweetie, sorry for the disturbance you can know continue with your genealogy (lol).

I don’t think I have a crab allergy because I ate crabs before and there’s nothing happened to me. And as what I have found online I don’t have a symptoms of having a crab allergy, crab allergy  is an adverse reaction by the body’s immune system to crabs or food containing crab. The body’s immune system produces immunoglobulin E (IgE – an antibody) and histamine in response to contact with the allergen. The specific symptoms that can result can vary considerably amongst patients from a severe anaphylactic reaction to asthma, abdominal symptoms, eczema or headaches.

The treatments:

  • Avoid foods containing the allergen, adrenaline injection if anaphylactic reaction occurs, antihistamines, bronchodilators for asthmatic symptoms
  • The central concept of management of food allergy is allergen avoidance. When this is not possible or inadvertent allergen exposure occurs, treatment depends on the nature and severity of the reaction. Treatments include:
    • Dietary modification and allergen avoidance – with education of children, parents and carers.
    • No treatment – if symptoms are mild and self-limiting
    • Antihistamines – Useful for allergic rhinitis and some allergy mediated skin conditions. Not helpful in asthma except for mild seasonal asthma where allergy may be a precipitant

Medicine for flu

It’s hard to be sick especially when you are in a strange country that only few knew how to speak a little English.
Hubby is feeling sick since yesterday, I think he got a flu. His body is sore and have a fever I am so worried that I don’t know what to do. He don’t want me to buy a medicine for him because he is not used to take one, he asked me if I want to eat Chinese food, I told him no because I am so worried to left him alone.
To cut the story short, I still went out to buy Chinese food even there’s a heavy rain, but that’s not all I did. I also bought a flu medicine to the nearest drugstore I’ve seen, how did I do it? I translate “flu medicine” to Korean language via google translate then I wrote it in a piece of paper (see photo above). So when I go to the drugstore I just show the paper with the words I have written. Below is the medicine the lady gave me.,
I am not to sure even the lady  says doggam yebang  so when I reached the Chinese restaurant, I ordered a take out. My shyness was no where to be found anymore, she told me to sit but I did not,  I asked her if it is for flu and show the medicine and the small paper if it is right? The young lady replied yes so I sit down in one of the chair at the nearest table.  Maybe in order to be sure the lady came near me and look at the medicine and to my piece of paper. So I asked her again if it is a flue medicine, and she said yes.

I feel relax even I am little cold, even I have an umbrella I still get wet. I just noticed that your shyness disappear when you are very worried about your love one. So when I get home I asked my husband to eat but he don’t feel like eating, I gave him the medicine I bought. He asked me how did I get it and etc., he did not trust the medicine what if it is not the right one and so on.., so I told him not to take it if he don’t trust the medicine, land just wait until Monday and show it to your co-teacher. Well he still took the medicine after eating a toasted bread with peanut butter.

We sleep early, when he wake up this morning he is not too hot anymore but still weak and feeling cold with muscle aches. As of now he is still feeling sick, I am asking him to bring him in to a doctor. He keep mouthing I am like a mother., lol

Symptoms of Flu:

  • fever (usually high)
  • severe aches and pains in the joints and muscles and around the eyes
  • generalized weakness
  • ill appearance with warm, flushed skin and red, watery eyes
  • headache
  • dry cough
  • sore throat and watery discharge from your nose

Headache again

My head is aching again but aside of that I wrote three blogs, I am not planning to blog today but I can’t remove it from my system. The reason of my head ache, skipping meal, my eyes or lack of sleep. Either of the three or all of the above. We wake up early today as early as 9:20 in the morning, we went to the bank so hubby can pay the agent in China that will going to take care our visa in North Korea, after one hour its done but I can’t return to sleep even I want too. I just keep rolling in top of the bed, I ate around one o’clock in the afternoon, noodles for my brunch then piece of apple at 4:30 and a small of pack of ready made spaghetti at five o’clock something then gym at 7:30. I am not eating properly that makes me feel weak and I am over using the computer, 12-14 hours a day is not healthy anymore.

Left upper back pain

I’m back! Excuse me for being away for a long period of time.  I don’t know if someone notice my absence, these past few days I am just posting sponsored post. I am not feeling well due to “girl thing” and two days ago I think I broke sprained my back. The pain is killing me, I thought I am not going to wake up that morning. I can’t take pain killer because I don’t know what is it here in Korea, I cannot bend my back and I cannot rise up in bed. I am completely disable when it came to my back and completely paranoid. Lol! Actually my back is still aching right now but the good thing I can move and bend a little right now, I am not like a walking zombie anymore not like these past few days.
I don’t know where and how I got it, maybe when I make lampaso wipe the floor using my bare hands and cloth, I am wearing  socks that time because my feet are feeling cold when I have monthly visit or  maybe  because of my sitting position when I am using my laptop. Don’t know either but the only thing I know I am bit okay, but I guess I need a good back massage and I don’t know where to get it unless I went home in Philippines.
Actually I don’t know what happened to me until I research for Left upper back pain – is similar to right upper back pain. In most cases, back pain in this area involves the ligaments and the muscles which attach to the vertebrae, which are bones that make up the spinal column. Muscles and ligaments can often be over used or stretched abnormally, particularly during periods of exercise or other physical activity, which results in tears and/or inflammation.

This photo was taken yesterday by my hubby, he is playing around with my cam so I asked her to take picture of me after I ponytail my hair with my new band  ponytail. As you can see I am in yellow blouse and our wall paper is YELLOW.

Vaccination’s Mania

Atlast something new happened to my life last Saturday, we went to Itaewon which is 45 minutes from our location travelling by subway. We have a appointment at the International Clinic, for our prescription for Malaria, as what I have said to my other blog we are going to Sri Lanka this Christmas. Malaria is common to Sri Lanka so we need to be sure not to have it, so after filling-up some form at the receiving area, the nurse took our weight, height and blood pressure.
Afterward meeting the doctor, he ask about our travel and schedule and etc., he also manage to ask if wha kind of vaccine we have and when was the last time we had a vaccination, hubby is completed unfortunately I am not, I told the doctor that my last vaccination was when I was a baby. I am completed with those vaccinations which I cannot remember maybe my mother does., oh, I was also vaccinated when I was seven years old, some nurses came to our school and gave us a vaccine when I was in grade one.
Toinks! The doctor laugh a little as hubby did, they said I need vaccinations, Jezzz, I am afraid of needles and injections. The doctor asked me If I want to have a vaccines today for Hepa A & B shots, the doctor also added I must have it.
My hubby want me to have it so I have too, I said yes. We just wait few minutes and here it comes, the nurse bringing the injections with the doses of drugs. She went to a small room and ask me to follow,I carry hubby with me. Like a child eh, the nurse said I have FOUR vaccinations today, one for Hep A shot, Hep B, shot, DT and Typhoid., Wow, that’s a lot I don’t know if I can take it. I want to call “Nanay”, lol. On my first shot I hold hubby’s hand, hmmm it is just like an ant bite. Second hold the bed cover, third the nurse says “Relax, relax” fourth OMG, it hurts a lot! It feels I am going to jump as high as the roof. I am going to return after one month for the second shot of Hep A and then in June for the third and second shot of Hep B if I am not mistaken.

My hubby got pissed off of me, because I am not looking to the injections while the nurse was telling what kind of vaccine it is., after the vaccinations we went to the nearest drug store to buy those medicines prescribed to us by the doctor for the malaria prevention. He prescribed Malarone to us, whew very expensive it cost $3 per pill, we have to buy 34 pills (17 each of us). Hubby used his credit card because he pays a lot at the International clinic for my vaccinations.
The whole day of Saturday and Sunday my left arm is aching, due to the vaccination. I can’t move it, hubby says it is usual for a certain of vaccination, I don’t know which shot it is.
