Molds attack

Spread the love
I had a busy day today. It is cold here as fall season start and problem starts too, molds. Sometimes I wonder why Koreans love to use wall paper on their home when mold developed when fall and winter came. I think it is a cheap and good idea just to use paint rather than wall paper because if you use paint it will last long and you don’t need to change every year when molds attack.
So today my husband decided to rip the small portion of wall paper in our kitchen and wife to the rescue to clean it and in order to make the wall dry my husband use the heater we got from Seoul. We use bleach to clean the mold in the wall, my husband old student says vinegar can also help to clean mold in wall paper I guess they are right because here’s what I found online on how to clean the mold in wall paper.

Things You’ll Need:
  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Bucket
  • Spray bottle
  • Tea tree oil
  • Sponge
  • Rubber gloves
  • Soft cloth
  1. Mix together a cleaning solution of 1 cup water and 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar. Pour this solution into a bucket or a spray bottle. Alternatively, you can mix together 1 drop of tea tree oil and 1 cup of water for your cleaning solution.
  2. Mist a clean sponge with the solution, or dip the sponge into the bucket and wring it out thoroughly. Wear rubber gloves to protect your hands while cleaning the walls.
  3. Rub the sponge onto the molded area to clean, and gently scrub away the mold. Test the mixture in an inconspicuous area, such as behind a door or in a corner of the room, to make sure the solution won’t damage your wallpaper. If the wallpaper is unharmed, continue to the rest of the room.
  4. Move the sponge in small circles, and do not soak the wallpaper. It should be damp but not too wet.
  5. Wipe the wall off with a damp sponge dipped in clean water, and dry with a soft cloth. Allow the wall to air dry before washing again. Continue until you have removed the mold.
