Macaroni Spaghetti with Black Olives

This is the spaghetti prepared and cooked by my husband last Friday as advance celebration of my birthday. He didn’t allow me in the kitchen while he is cooking so I enjoyed my time  designing a theme, when he is done cooking that’s when he called me to tasted it and make a critic.

He made a nice and delicious spaghetti that I ate all of this, lol. I was astonished with his ingredients little did I know that you can add black olives in spaghetti, in Philippines mostly the ingredients of our typical spaghetti is hotdog and meat. Anyway instead of using ground beef he used Cajun sausage which he ground in the blender. Then when it is cooked we added mozzarella cheese.,

How My Husband and I Celebrated My Birthday

Today is my birthday but my husband and I celebrated it in advance. We started it last Friday, he cooked macaroni spaghetti for me. Yes you heard it right he is the chef of the day, he added black olives and ground Cajun sausage.

Then when it is cooked we went out to buy cake, mozzarella cheese and some pastries. We  went to Paris Baguette and I choose milk chocolate cake to have a change. I always choose chocolate cake on my previous birthday celebration eh, so this time still chocolate cake but with milk., Haha

Paris Baguette Chocolate Cake

On the next day we headed to Popeyes to order chicken and biscuits, we didn’t make it on the previous night because we are too full, so we have two days celebration. While we are waiting for our order we walked around the supermarket and bought a spreadable butter.

Then we had a competition who’s going to arrive in Paris Baguette first, we took different route with an agreement nobody will run just to win. Well I arrived in Paris Baguette first without running because I just walk straight unlike him he needs to walk around.

We bought profiterole and baguette from Paris Baguette and few more pastries. My husband says when we are already outside the door of the bakery,  the store clerk might think we are pigs, because the other night we just bought a cake and pastries and that night we bought more pastries.

Just want to say thank you for all the greetings, and to the person (J) who made a long week celebration of my birthday, thank you very much.

Chicken cooked in Chilli sauce

Cooking makes me busy these past few days aside from trying to create a new theme for makeover.  So my apology if I seldom visit to your blogs. This is just one of the food I cooked for my husband as part of his diet, I just washed and cut the chicken breast into small pieces and fry them in the pan without oil, oh well I guess you can call it boiling on their own juice.

When it is almost dry I added the chilli sauce, mixed them together until its cooked and ready to eat.

Fried Beef with A1 Steak Sauce

I am not really into meat sauce or barbecue sauce way back in Philippines,  ketchup is already enough for me but my husband says barbecue sauce will make the meat taste better, so here’s a beef fried on its own oil and drizzled with A1 steak sauce.

A1 is a steak sauce and condiment for use with meat or game dishes. It was developed in the United Kingdom as a brand in the year 1831 and was later introduced to the United States by G.F. Heublein and (&) Bros., and was officially registered as a trademark in North America in 1895.

Mini Pizza from Paris Baguette

If you are craving for pizza and you have no budget for it, you can try the mini pizza in Paris Baguette. That’s what I did when my husband doesn’t want to eat pizza, so when we dropped by at Paris Baguette to buy his bread and pastries I really insist  to buy a mini pizza for me.

Sport-fest or Family Day in Icheon Elementary School?

I wake up early in the morning with a loud noise coming from the nearby school, it seems there’s a celebration. I can hear drums, music and a person announcing something. I would like to check whats happening outside but I am to shy to do it, so I just open my computer and do some adgitizing then return to sleep afterwards.

When I wake up again, I made some soup and I can still hear the music nearby. So after meal I decided to check what’s happening on the nearby school.

And this is what I have found out, people playing soccer. It seems there’s a sport fest or family day, the field/playground is surrounded by tents which are fully occupied. The elementary school is quite big isn’t it?

Egg Whites with Beef and Spaghetti Sauce

This is just one of my husband weird treats. He don’t usually eat egg yolks so most of the time when I prepare food for him just the egg whites which are good source of protein. To make his food appetizing he combined the beef and top it with spaghetti sauce with pimento and add some black pepper.

My Introvert Personality Traits

Weird traits? Yeah right that’s what I have sometimes, there are times I just want to be alone. I don’t want to talk or have a conversation so don’t ever wonder why there are times I am not active in Facebook  as I am hiding from the civilization, except if I am busy that I can’t really visit Facebook like today. Definitely, I am introvert type of person. The most basic definition of an introvert is a person who gains energy from being alone and loses energy in stimulating environments, such as social event while according to dictionary.com -introverts tend to be preoccupied with their own thoughts and feelings and minimize their contact with other people.

[Feeling Sad]

Anyway, my husband called me bipolar once because I am angry few minutes ago and later on I am not, my mood changes all the time . Well it depends upon the people around me, I really have nothing to post because I don’t know where my blog topic goes.

Well, we made a soup together today and we ate all of it as in nothing is left for later,  lol. I need to do my laundry early morning when I wake up, I was too busy that I forgot about it. Rhyming isn’t it?

Vegetable Soup

Yesterday was the end of our juice fasting and starting today we are going to introduce food into our stomach, fruits and vegetable soup.

So when my husband and I shopped at Lotte Super tonight, we bought our weekly supplies fruits, vegetables and few other items that we need to make soup, when we arrived home we started to make soup. Yes we cooked together and here’s our simple vegetable soup.

Our ingredients are carrots, corn, zucchini, bakchoi, onions, garlic and vegetable soup powder, and water.  We sauteed the onion and garlic in olive oil then we add the vegetables and mixed them together. Afterwards we add water and the vegetable soup powder. When the carrots are soft enough I dropped the bakchoi and let it boil until it was cooked.

You know when you don’t eat food for a long time it makes you very hungry, so I had four bowls of soup. It was so yummy that it does not last long, we made soup for tomorrow morning but sad to say nothing is left. Lol!

Korean Halo-Halo

I am not sure but that’s how it looks like to me, I’ve seen two middle school student carrying this cup while I am going to the Nonghyup Supermarket few weeks ago.  It’s new to me so after I bought the items I need I went to the freezer and check what’s new, I didn’t waste my time to try this thinking it is a new flavor of ice cream.

But I was wrong, its like halo-halo in Philippine, a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and evaporated milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served in a tall glass or bowl. The difference this cold snack consist only red beans, ice and sugar. It seems Korean love read bean so much because it is always included in any bread or snacks.
