Philpost: Philippine Postal Corporation Untrusted

Spread the love

There’s only thing not to trust in Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) that it is our mail or parcel. I have ordered a Sport Metal Watch from Artscow last December and guess what? The envelope arrives yesterday but the watch did not, what the heck what’s the use of the envelope, for toilet paper? The envelope was open right where it was pasted so damn cool isn’t it. Dunno what happened to the watch maybe a cool guy  is wearing it even the watch has a photo of somebody. Lol, yes it is a personalized watch my Christmas gift to my father so it has a photo of him.

The open envelope

What a shame, for sure the watch was stolen by philpost employees unless there’s other people who segregate and transport our mails and parcels. Just a question does our mail need to be delivered house to house or just give it other people and be delivered to us? That’s how its works in our province those barangay which are 15-30 minutes away from town the post man just gave the mail to jeepney drivers or look for someone who knows the person and darn your mail is free and in express delivery. Just be lucky if nobody got interested with it.

This is how it works before the mails are delivered in our place they were delivered first in San Pablo Laguna for segregating and then to our province. The enveloped my mother had received has no stamp of “Received torn or open” from postal office from Laguna or our from our local postal office. So when they asked why it is open and empty and then no stamp of being received open and torn the postal office just says “They didn’t noticed it” what does it mean they’re just stamping and stamping without checking if the mails or parcels they are stamping are open or torn. “Good job! Clap your hands on the air”. If postal office employees has this reason every time a parcel was missing no wonder it is nowhere to be found. So who’s the real culprit, and where it gone missing the postal employees who segregated the mails when it arrive to Philippines or the mail man who gave it to other people or the person who received it  and handed to our house or maybe a ghost?

Anyway I think Philpost needs to changed their promotional banner below, because it does not correspond on what they offered, it is not safe and it is not express either. Just remember the postal delivery van hijacked somewhere in the Philippinnes, that’s what they called safe when things are being stolen express because they don’t deliver it to you but giving them to other people to be delivered right to your house.

Anyway this situation did not happened just once in our family, as far as I remember my aunt from Germany sends a registered mail to us and guess what happened we didn’t received that mail. We only noticed it when my mother received a second mail asking if we received a registered mail. So my mother and grand mother went to office to ask about it and guess what they found out, the registered mail was given to another personwho happens with the same name with my mother but the case was she is not married with her husband so she doesn’t bear the same family name with us, anyway I think her husband or common-law partner is our distant relative. The big deal about the registered mail was it has Euro on it and as far as I remember the post office was also the one who change it into local currency.  Great job!So upon the complaint the post office ask the “lucky receiver” to show themselves in the post office and bring all the letters they received. And guess what even my grandparent’s letter from Tarlac was also delivered to them and of course it was also opened when handed to us. We don’t know what else they received before the mistake was discovered. Funny isn’t it?  That’s how express our mail delivered by number one and trusted Philpost. So are you going to trust this kind of service or just the same reason “No choice”.

I had a share of experience too Yhanne. He first time I sent a pcakage full o goodies during Christmas, some were scraped off like the undies, perfume, and stuff toy. Chocolate lang ang nakarating. So eveytime I send something out now, I send it through priority, it's a little expensive but it's insured.. So takot ang mga taga post office magbukas.

    Kainis diba?

Uhmm I also received a broken card two years ago, and it doesn't even have money in it, maybe they thought it has some money inside the card that's why they tore it apart GRRRRRRR from then on I never trusted them anymore.

@w0rkingAth0mE – Hay naku if you will search the internet tama ka diyan wala kang makikita kundi reklamo about the stolen items and goods.

Yong latest ko namang padala before Christmas eh sira yong kahon.

Dispatched siya on Feb. 4, 2011. March 13 na, ala pa rin… =( Feeling ko may kumuha na kasi I ordered a bunch of concealers dati and 1 month and 3 days lang inabot niya to get to me. Nag-aalala na tuloy ako kasi I ordered a new batch of cosmetics just this first week of March from the US… Sana makarating… ='(

Below is part of an e-mail I rec’d from my Mother who resides in USA.

Received your Christmas card in today’s mail. Must have
come via the air or something….sure was fast getting here! Pretty card, wonderful message and we know that it was filled with love from both! I was a little upset to see that it had been handled roughly though there was a rip on each side and also one smack dab in the top edge of the envelope.
The card only had the center top ripped about 3/4 of an inch. The gold stone like on the Christmas tree was intact. We appreciate it very much.

Would Phil Post care to explain this?? The only thing they are out for is themselves. Pathetic that you can not trust a Govt Postal Employee here in the Philippines. Trying to line their own pockets with other peoples hard earned gifts. There is no excuse for this, pure and simple it is THEFT. Oh, and do not expect a straight honest answer form them either, only lame excuses as to why this happens.

It’s as if Filipino business culture does not acknowledge the existence of complaints about poor service , and thus are in denial of reality. So your complaint is not even really heard or understood. They don’t want to hear it and are unable to respond to it.

You’re right, well maybe its normal to them. Like what happened few months ago they caught their own employee via CCTV stealing money from a parcel, but dunno what happen next because no more updates after the said incident.,

I thought this would never happen to me(after receiving 6-7 successful book shipment via Philpost, but it did).

Just this Dec 2012, I bought several necklaces online from 3 separate international sellers.

1st package. The ones brought from US arrived safely so I was really happy. I was beginning to think Philpost has improved for the better because there was less and less complaint on the internet but that was wishful thinking.

2nd packaged arrived this morning. 2 necklaces worth around P1500 each from Germany. Each necklace was properly boxed then placed together in a brown bubble-wrapped envelope, but the parcel had arrived to me torn then taped, the boxes inside cracked open, a necklace missing, and the whole package properly heat-sealed back with a clear CMEC Philippine Post Corporation plastic.

(So talagang binutas ang package ko at dahan-dahan pang binalot ulit.)

The lady at the post office said it had arrived to them like that so anong department and sino ang nagnakaw? Sadly, hindi traceable pero sure na Philpost office worker with the packing tools!!!)

3rd packaged from China hasn’t arrived yet and I’m starting to think it’s never arrive even if the necklaces are all fakes.

    • adminryanne says:

I am sorry to hear that, they really have a good eye on valuable items. Since my box arrived open I didn’t send new one yet, nakakastress kapag nawala. I hope your third package will arrive safe and complete.

      • Lynlyn says:

Sigh.

Thanks!

    • adminryanne says:

Hi, if you declare the items sa labas nang sobre I think safe yon but if not may tendency na manakaw nga.
