Skywatch Friday

Every time we travel my camera is always on my hand and I am always near the window. You know why? I love taking photo of the surroundings while traveling. Taken inside the bus going to Busan..

Can you see the dark shadow in the mountain? I remember when I am in Grade IV on our Art  Class we draw mountains, fields and trees like what you see in the picture below then our teacher told us to color a black shadow, anyway our art lesson that day was SHADING.

Life is Colorful

Life is so colorful and full of happiness. The picture says it all.

Fields beside the national road
Farmers planting or looking for toads?

Mountains standing so proud
While embracing the beauty of clouds

Over excited...?

This photo was taken last year, hubby has a lot of plans that Saturday four our first wedding anniversary. There's a thing on my mind but I ignore it because I thought he is too excited for our anniversary. After visiting Jogye Temple we went to Myeongdong Cathedaral then have late lunch in Everest, a Nepalese restaurant. Then he walked me to the Dongdaemon Gate then we went home, then buy a cake to complete our first anniversary celebration.

It is not a blast but memorable visiting a temple and church on the same day. plus on  five more days we're going to China as the part 2 our anniversary special. On Sunday he asked me what date is it, I told him it is 26th and greet him a never ending Happy Anniversary since the weekend starts.  He was shocked, you know why? He thought it was already 27th and last Saturday is 26th...lol, I knew it from the start.

Looking at the Sky in Gyeongbokgung

Days seems so fast its Friday again, time to look at the sky and wish all the things you have in your mind. This photo was taken Gyeongbokgung, a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace, Gyeongbokgung, translates in English as "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven."

Looking at the Sky on Friday

Bluehoney : look there's a big bird!

San Andres was originally a barangay of Odiongan which became a municipality on 1920. It was a native settlement of nipa huts known as Parpaguha, named after a rare large bird that had its nest among the thicket along the river where settlement was located.

Among the first Spaniards to reach Parpaguha during the later half of the 19th century was Don Jose de Tiran, a military commander of Romblon who set out an inspection trip of the surrounding villages. On reaching the place he ordered a civil guard to fetch a glass of water from nearby well. The water turned out to be salty and the Spaniard yelled "Salado", issuing an official order to that effect.

In 1882, a prominent resident of Salado named Rufino Leano was accused of a crime by an influential Spaniard, Don Barcelo. Don Barcelo succeeded in having Leano imprisoned without trial in the provincial jail of Capiz (which Romblon then belonged to as a sub-province).

Years later, the Spanish Governor-General Eulogio Despujol visited Capiz, and Leano successfully sought an audience with him. Governor Despujol found Leano innocent and set him free. On reaching his hometown, he successfully petitioned the provincial governor to change the name of Salado to "Despujols" in honor of the Governor General.

The third change of name during the late years of President Carlos P. Garcia's administration. Because the town's name was reminiscent of Spanish tyranny, the town was renamed "San Andres" in honor of the town's patron, Saint Andrew, patron of fishermen. Most of the people of San Andres are fishermen. The name was changed by an executive order enacted June 18, 1961.

It's a bird! No, it's a plane!

Guess what? It's a man-shape orifice hanging on top. This picture was taken last Saturday in N-Seoul Tower, hubby and I visited the tower first before going to the Lotus Lantern Festival. Actually he already visited the tower once but on my request to be at the tower too he brought me there.

For your information N Seoul Tower is a communication and observation tower located in Namsan Mountain, central Seoul, South Korea. It was built in 1969, and opened to the public in 1980, the tower has been a symbol of Seoul and measures 236.7 m (777 ft) in height (from the base) and tops out at 479.7 m (1,574 ft) above sea level. It has also been known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower. After the tower's original owner merged with the CJ Corporation, it was renamed the N Seoul Tower (official name CJ Seoul Tower).

As you can see the sky was so clear that day, can't find any clouds.
