Cleaning the Bathroom and Accidentally Electrocuted Myself

Cleaning the bathroom is one of the things I do even before, so a few days ago I decided to clean our bathroom barefooted, it was been a long time since I cleaned it thoroughly because the water supply in our barangay (village) is scarce, the water only runs in the morning for about 2-3 hours.

As cleaning agent I used muriatic acid as well as bleach without using a mask for protection,  I have cleaned it thoroughly from walls to floor. I have turned the lights and fan but I think it was a wrong move because I inhaled so much fumes from muriatic acid leading me to choke and cough, I went out for a bit to inhale fresh air. When I am done cleaning I switched off the light and fan and that's when an electricity bolt run through my finger to my head, I was shocked for a moment but I still managed to pull back my finger, maybe if I didn't I was electrocuted to death.

The bathroom switched light was gone for a minute, I have already thought I broke the switch. I was thinking if I should tell my mother that I was almost electrocuted and I broke the light/fan switch. Thinking she might go to the bathroom and get electrocuted as well, I decided to tell her not to touch the bathroom switch and a little story of what had happened to me inside.

My mother is really epic, instead of being worried to me I got scolded for being careless and splashing water in the wall where the electric switch was.

Anyway, it was the strongest electric shocked I encountered in my life maybe because I am barefooted, the electric switch and the floor is wet as well as my hands.  I thought it was the end of my life but I guess I still have purpose here on earth.

My head aches after I got electrocuted, the lower part just below my ears. I think my brain got an electric shock! The next day, I cleaned our living room using muriatic acid and inhaled more fumes again.

Sweet Cherry Plate

The other day while we are shopping at Lotte Super I wandered around the house and home aisle and I found this plate cute. It only cost ₩1,000 ($0.87) so I bought it thinking I am going to eat small amount of rice if I am going to use it.

I think it is more as a kid's tray rather than  a plate because it it is in the same shelves of the large trays. My husband just nod his head when he saw what I am holding.

Slimline Dishwasher

There are times I searched online for free samples, the last time I grabbed free samples online it has a dishwashing soap on it. As we don't have dishwasher here at home we have sent it to a friend.  Those times dishwashers were considered something of a luxury when they first came on the market that most restaurants have it but now a days most private home have it too, a dishwasher is a mechanical device for cleaning dishes and eating utensils.  Dishwasher has different models, the new one is a  slimline models that  fits with a small kitchen. They are also effective in cleaning as the standard model, it allows  you to adjust the temperature, depending on how dirty your crockery is.  Some of the highest-rated slimline dishwashers use only ten litres of water per wash and have Eco Wash and Quick Wash options to help reduce water and electricity consumption.

Range Cookers

I have been busy these past few days on cooking in our kitchen and what is expected after that stressful time I can't face my blog and do my job in front of my computer anymore. All I want is to relax and chill, watch some TV shows online and read.

Anyway I wish we have range cooker here in our apartment I have notice our burner is being rusty maybe because of keeping the pot in the gas range while they are newly wash and water is dripping. Since I found it I am now very extra careful to dry the pot first before letting it sit in our gas range and keeping it in our kitchen cabinet.

Range cookers are far bigger than traditional cookers and they come with a larger main oven and more hob burners. They are designed to look like the olden style cooking ranges found in older styled kitchens and have numerous features. They are free-standing and come in widths between 90cm to 150 cm.

Range cookers can be electric only or the more popular dual fuel option where the hob is powered by gas and the oven by electricity. Most range cookers come with six hob burners

Cup and Saucer

This is what I got when I went to Daiso the other week, together with my travel pouch. I bought this for my husband as he is using my coffee cup because I didn't allow him to use the other cup  in our drawer as it is the souvenir from the gym in Seoul where he worked out.

Actually the cup the I am using for my coffee is also a souvenir because the gym owner gave him two cups, I am not going to use it but he said we have two, so when he wanted to use the second one I objected. So I bought him his own cup with saucer, just right for drinking tea.

He said thank you but he still ended up wanting my cup because he said it is bigger, so the end result the cup and saucer I bought for him still belongs to me.

The Kettle

Here's the new kettle in our kitchen, we already had a electric kettle but we decided to buy this  one for our tea storage, so we don't used this to boil water we just boil water in the electric one and pour the water here and drop the tea bag, doing it we save gas.

This kettle is cheap here for $14 and can fit 4 liters of water but we only used 2 liter for our tea time.

New Juicer

As what I have mentioned on my health blog we are going to try juice fasting for one month and to begin with that we need a juicer. So tonight we went to appliance store (Samsung) near us to see if the juicer we ordered last weekend already arrived and it does.

A juicer is a tool for extracting juice from fruits, vegetables, or wheatgrass. This is known as juicing, the process of extracting juice from plant tissues such as fruit or vegetables.

The juicer mechanically separates juice from the solid part (pulp) of most fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, and herbs. The pulp is usually discarded, but can also be used in muffins and breads or composting.

So we tested our newly purchased juicer by juicing carrots and a small piece of ginger, we made 250ml of carrot juice. My photo above is less than the amount already because that's my share of our sample.

Made to Measure Pleated Blinds for the Apartment Window

I have nothing to complain here in our new apartment aside from our window doesn't have any curtains at all. So it's bright here in the morning and in the evening because the garage is just beside us. The window too is facing our bed so I don't know if people can see us here from outside, the glass window has an art style and thick too. So I guess they can't see us inside on what we are doing except if they really intended to peep.

My husband and I is planning to buy a curtain but the problem is we don't know how to wear it in our window without making a big fuss on it plus to tie it every morning, so as we looking for a perfect curtain online we have found that there is  made to measure pleated blinds that make us change our minds. Blinds are easy to manage than heavy curtains you can just pull the string if you want to fold it and for sure you cannot make blinds as wiping cloth for hands like what is it usually done in  curtains when someone is lazy to look for a dry cloth.  The good thing pleated blinds has also a selection of colors and  I can't wait to have one maybe creamy white will be just right.

Wooden Shelf - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

There are times I am organized but most of the time I am messy and one fine example are my things as shown below, this is just beside my side of bed where I can just grab the things I need when I am sitting in the floor or in my little chair while doing my task online. As you can see there are boxes where my things are kept, like notebooks, pamphlets, calling cards and some souvenir items. And hey there's also a small bowl of grapes, I am eating it last night but I was not able to eat them all before I slept., so it was just left there because I hate drinking and eating cold food but I love ice cream, what the heck! My battery charger was also in the floor together with my black backpack and a Missha paper bag, my container of candies, accessories and etc., We have a not so large white cabinet just near the front door but it is full of my junk, plus I don't like walking by and by when I need something.

Actually Pookie bear had asked me before if I want a metal shelf for my things but I declined his offer, he got one though for his side of bed. You, know the frugal me reasoned out we are just going to waste it because we can't carry it once we moved.

Yesterday when we are going to gym we found a small wooden shelf in the trash/garbage area (where I took a photo of the sala sets) we didn't care about it because we usually see shelves better than what we saw.  Going home after gym Pookie bear asked me if I want it, he said its kind of dirty. I said No then Yes and I can clean it so he returned because we are few steps away and carry it. I run home, haha and tease him "garbage picker". Haha, wala akong utang na loob (inner debt). So I cleaned it last night and let it dry in the balcony as the wood is wet, maybe its been there since last night because it rained until morning. Today when it is already dry, I just glued the outer strips/layer (zoom it and you can see a thumbtacks) it seems the previous owner did not think of using glue/rugby, he use thumbtacks and brown packaging tape to attached it and when we picked it the strips are almost gone but with the help of the thumbtacks and brown packaging at the top it is still attached to the body.

Anyway here's what my side of bed looks right now, as you can see it is really just beside my bed and looking to my computer screen I am busy dropping EC cards. Maybe you are wondering why the flower is quite far from the Pringle's container, my camera is situated in the center you can't just see it because I am using it to take the photo below. The bowl of left over grapes is still there, lol.

I placed it in the corner because it does not look good with the first position (above picture). I think Pookie bear is already annoyed of my messy junk in the floor, I cleaned it but once I need things I can't return it to proper position as I am quite busy clicking and dropping. He knows I wouldn't accept a new metal shelf, so he picked the wooden shelf without embarrassment knowing he is white foreigner. Haha, as what he says Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - thank you sweetie! Mwah!

Sofa Set in the Street of Icheon

Seriously I need a break, I need a break from blog hopping what I mean Entrecard dropping.  Since I decided to add my two blogs in entrecard I am dropping cards over time,  my schedule  is in the afternoon or evening I am going to dropped using my two new cards, then in the evening my travel or personal blog plus  visit also my friends on my link exchange. Well its reshuffle sometimes my personal in the afternoon, I need a break right now because I want to watch few TV shows, so see you folks later...Hehe, drama!

But for sure I can't take a break because while watching I can stop my hands from opening a new tab, haha. But before that this my share of red for Tuesday, taken after gym. This are still good looking chairs, sofa set or sala set but they are already thrown by owners, so if you want one picked your choice.

Korean throw anything in the street as long as they don't need it, not like us me Pinoys we keep holding on to them which is sometimes for display. There are times you can see a good looking cabinet in the street, it really looks like brand new and when a truck came they will just tore it down. Sayang!

My husband kept telling teasing me that I should picked the green one because he knows how I want to have a relaxing chair inside our apartment, we don't buy things, furniture and etc., here because we're not going to live here for a lifetime plus our stay in one apartment depends on his work contract, so if he got  a new job it means new apartment.  So carrying just two big back pack is a relief.,

Miniature Filing Cabinet for Organizing Pens

Nothing new today aside from I got a nice deal of apples at Kim's Club Mart, so instead of buying two packages I bought four. I also cooked some spaghetti today as my meal I didn't know that the spaghetti sauce I picked in the counter has red peppers on it so its a bit chilly. I am craving for coffee right now but I can't have one, my 100th sticks just bid goodbye, I have to wait until next weekend so I can have one. Pookie bear don't want to use his credit card  as much as we can, he said I need to wait until his payday.  He send his savings home, maybe for the future generation.  I have one choco sticks left and I am saving it tomorrow but I don't know if I can resist the temptation tonight.

As I am also working in my own office and time, I have my miniature filing cabinet. Where I put my mark pen, scissors and anything which is small and easy to misplace.

Depressed with Plumbing Problems

I am not feeling well today, the plumber came as well as the landlord and his wife. Well the plumber did not do anything he just use the shower hose to put some water to unplugged the toilet. So it works for few minuter not until they left, so I just pay $26.55 without really fixing it. Well my husband scold me or what ever you may call it, telling me why I did not tell them that the toothbrush need to be removed and not just hose it. It looks like the toothbrush was moved that's why the water works properly when he is fixing it.

Just  a while we had a conversation with the landlord again on what the plumber needs to do but I doubt it if he understand it because we also talk to him last night when we luckily saw him outside cleaning in the front garage. We just asked him to come with us and see for his self, Pookie bear co-teacher called him too. Anyway the landlord says he is going to call the guy tomorrow, so I am in big shit right now, because to remove the toothbrush the toilet bowl need to be removed and as well as the tiles in the bathroom. That means MONEY, Pookie bear won't shoulder the expenses because he said its my fault so I need to learn my lesson. In short I am not going to have my allowance for a long time it depends on how much money we are going to spend to pay the plumber and some tools needed.

So right now I am very depressed! Huhuhu!

There's money in the toilet ...

I had wake up mid afternoon today, Pookie bear asked me if I am dreaming because I am making a  sound as if crying, I try to recall about it. All I know I am dreaming and it looks real and I already  forgot what is all about. Does it happened to you too? You forgot your dream after you wake up.

It is not a so busy weekend, I had an extra allowance today. Yahooo! How did I get it?  Well Pookie bear plugged the toilet (lol) using too much tissue, so he tried unplugging it but he did not succeed. So I enter the bathroom even he told me not to go inside, the wise me says I  need to pee which is true. Anyway he decided to change his clothes he is going to out to buy acid for  unplugging the toilet and the dork me keep trying my luck to do it, he asked me if I am going to go with him I said no and keep pushing the plunger. So he said if I can unplugged the toilet he is going to give me an extra allowance, so I said deal.

So while he is out I am trying my best to unplugged it, it is not dirty anyway it is just water maybe the tissues and poppy are stocked in the pipe, after a lot of trying I did it. So when Pookie bear arrived he has two gallons of acid I told him to prepare his money, he wouldn't believed me at first that I did it but when look at it. Done, he wouldn't give the extra allowance at first he said he is just kidding but anyway he gave it afterward but its not complete.

As I open my mail I have found out that Godaddy is in Holiday Sale for new domain it only cost $0.99 for one year. So I asked him if I can used his card, he said yes in one condition he don't owe me more money from the extra allowance and I said Yes. Plugged Pipe...? Call your wife...

I have been joining a lot of giveaways yesterday, hoping to win and bag home some prizes (lol). Previously I have joined few giveaways, been lucky to win but never received yet the prize.

To start the story, yesterday when I open the fridge and saw my leftover chunks of tuna, I don't feel like eating it anymore so I throw them at the sink and pour water on it. It is just a small piece, maybe one spoon of tuna but it seems I plugged the sink. I did not tell my husband what happen because as I see it, the water goes down still but very slowly.

When myy husband left for work, I just continue my daily routine, blogging and looking for online work. It was late at night (last night) when my husband arrived, when I opened his bag I was so surprised to find peanuts, chocolates and bread inside. It is not his habit to buy extra food after class, as I washed his food container I told him that it seems the sink is plugged. He ask me what did I do with it, I just told him I throw a small piece of tuna leftover. He doesn't believed me, he thought I throw something bigger than the tuna. I try to fix it, but it is still unplugged, I put a metal stick to push anything inside but it doesn't help, used the TV cable outside the balcony to push something inside the pipe, still useless. My husband want me to call the landlord below, to tell him what happened to our sink, but I don't want him to disturb late at night. I have told my husband I will do it tomorrow but he did not agreed because where am I going to wash the dishes after meal.

He really insisted I have to call for help to our landlord, but I am the type of person who never ask for help unless someone help. And partly, even I went down to our landlord house, I don't know how to explain it because we cannot understand each other, our landlord only knows few words of english. So what I did, I ask permission to my husband if I can untie the pipe below the sink, he just told me do whatever you want. He is so kind not to help me, he said it is my fault so I have to fix it on my own, because I did not help him when he plugged the toilet (lol).

So I do what I want, untie the pipe below and clean it. It smell very gross though, I did not see any chunk of tuna in it, all I have seen is dirt and egg yolks. It's a hard job because you cannot move the sink to fix the pipe below. On the right , my picture while fixing the pipe below the sink, with my husband feet. He just love being around and looking.
