Unexpected Visitor

I felt stress on my neck the other night after having unexpected visitor.  My husband and I was sort of busy in front of our laptops when we heard a car with engine on in front of the apartment followed by someone trying to unlock the glass door beside our apartment door and then rang our doorbell. We didn't mind it because we are already used that our doorbell was always mistaken as doorbell for the main door (for the apartment upstairs).  It was repeated many times followed by knocking on our door and unlocking our door lock too, but as the code was wrong our door remains closed.

My husband asked me to check it, the moment I opened our door I greet the person behind it but I was shock when she stormed inside our apartment, took his shoes off and made her way to our glass sliding door despite of me blocking on her way. I was surprised on her presence so I have asked the unexpected visitor who she was, she replied "(Her name) from Korea".

Anyway she quickly went inside as if it was her own apartment I help her slide the door so my husband can see her because he is asking who it was, well I thought too it was my husband's co-teacher and she has an urgent matter or information for my husband. Upon seeing my husband she quickly turn around like how quick she went inside our apartment,  she stumble to the shoes in our door. The funny thing is when she went out she is wearing my husband's pair of sneaker so I handed her ugg boots to her, she says sorry and I just nod. I closed the door afterwards and I have heard she went to the other door beside ours, so I opened our door a little to see what she is doing.  She knocked to the next door and trying to unlock the door. I thought she was just lost because it happens many times already so I closed our door.

When nobody opens the door for her she went back to the main door, unlocking and banging it. Still no sign that someone will open it for her she went back to our door, rang our doorbell and unlocking our door and then we heard her running quickly out of the apartment building and we heard knocking to other apartment building. My husband says the teenage girl seems to have down syndrome and probably she escaped from their home and now can't find where it was. I think she already find their home after leaving our apartment building because I didn't hear banging noise anymore. Though after she left that's where I felt nervous and stress on my neck. Thinking what if someone with a knife or gun is behind our door when I opened it? So I have told myself I am not going to open the door anymore unless I waiting for my order online.

The next morning someone knock on our door and rang our doorbell and I didn't open it nor my husband opened it. Then we heard a woman talking on the phone I am not sure if it was the landlady because she sounds like her, probably they saw what happened last night in the CCTV and just want to check or say something.

Potato and Pepperoni Pizza from 59 Pizza

We had a short walk today around the downtown. It was too cold, I wore four set of clothes so I will not feel cold while we are walking, it is better to be prepared than sorry, though I only have two sets of pants,  I mean I just wore short and then double it with my jogging pants. So while walking I can feel my legs freezing.

On the way we bought box of vitamin C, we went to Family Mart before reaching home. We just thought of buying some snacks but my husband didn't find food that he like to eat, so I went to 59 Pizza.

When I came in the the guy was not there (probably delivering pizza), I waited until his wife came near the front desk because when I came she is very busy in front of the oven, I gave my order and sit while watching TV. I had potato pizza this time while my husband is never ending pepperoni pizza with cheesy crust.

Alumni Conference in Icheon Elementary School

I wake up today with loud music and an emcee speaking in the nearby elementary school. My husband told me that there's something going on because he saw some tent from our window. After making my coffee I decided to check it out, I didn't even finish drinking it I just had one sip, I changed my clothes and I went out.

When I arrived in the school entrance I saw a lot of cars and this banner but as I can't read Hangul I can't still figure out what was the occasion.

Icheon Elementary School

There's really a lot of tent encircling the wide playground and they are full of people and food. Others are drinking soju (the popular liquor here), eating and talking to each other. There are few people in the play ground which looks like they are doing fun games, I saw some people with balloons. I didn't take long because I am too shy to be noted and snapping around, I was not able to take good picture because there are cars and trucks blocking me from where I stand.

Icheon Elementary School

I walk around the school I mean the street around the school so people will not think I just went there to take pictures. Anyway when I arrived home I translated what is written in the banner and it says "The 5th Icheon Elementary School Alumni Conference" thanks to Korean Virtual keyboard and Google translate for making it possible.

Eating Marathon Before Vacation

Few more days before our vacation but instead of feeling relax and excited. I feel so stressed and running out of time. I have to eat all the food here before we left, my husband keep reminding me to eat the grapes in the fridge or else it is going to be thrown in the garbage, and it means no more grapes in the future as in we are not going to buy this fruit in the future. So today even though I don't feel like eating grapes I have to eat, the grapes doesn't look fresh anymore but they are still sweet and juicy.

Green Grapes

We bought this grapes on sale in Lotte Super the last time we shopped my husband asked me if I am able to eat them before they turns bad, I said yes but few days had passed the grapes are still in the fridge.

Anyway aside from eating grapes my assignment for today is to cook soup because  the zucchini, cabbage and carrots in the fridge will be in bad state if we left them uncooked before our vacation. I have cooked the soup just so lucky that my husband helps me to eat it or else more food is going to spoiled. I still have one dozen of yoghurt in the fridge that needs to be eaten before our vacation, jezz I am going to gain weight that's for sure.

Life Change Gym is Temporarily Closed

Early this evening we went to gym for our work-out schedule, when we reached the second floor we smell a strong chemical and the two restaurants are closed. When we reached the third floor where the gym is located the door is open but it is very silent, when we came inside the gym is empty nobody is working out.

We found in the information that gym is closed because of the strong smell, the lady owner told us that there's fire yesterday at one of the restaurant in the second floor, she apologized but we said no need because we understand. So no choice we left after asking  when will the gym will be open again, she said after two days.

We tried to peep inside the closed restaurant if how big is the damage but we can't see it, we are in that situation when the guy owner of the gym found us, we greeted each other and asked if we are looking at the right restaurant.

Anyway I don't know what to say but having fire in the building already crossed on my mind, it is not the first time that something crossed on my mind and it happens.

An Empty Street in Icheon Downtown

An empty house, a whole inside my heart. Well I think that's enough of singing of out of tune, just one lonely night I went out to look for pizza place which I already blog previously, so today I just want to share the photo I have taken in the shopping district. On the day light this street is very busy but on very late night it is empty.

As you can see (do you?) most of the stores has no metal door,  you can still see what's inside the store through the glass walls. In Philippines I guess you cannot do this unless you have guards on duty,.

Kimchi A Lot of Work

It is been few months already since we bought Kimchi from the supermarket but since last week we started to buy and eat Kimchi again.  So in short my cooking escapades in our kitchen rolled again, you know frying eggs with kimchi or fried rice and etc.

Just tonight I just finished cutting the kimchi into pieces which is required hard work (lol) what I mean lot of work, need to clean the kitchen for the splattered Kimchi juice, wash the dishes and the Kimchi bag before throwing it in the garbage. If I am not going to wash it the whole apartment will stinks like Kimchi.

Our Apartment Stinks Like Kimchi

Today is just another busy day, I wake up at noon time. After earning points on my adgitize account I have to start cooking, yeah right stressing.

Anyway our apartment stench again that I need to close the bathroom door, it seems the people in the second/third floor is making kimchi because it stinks like one. We are on the ground floor so I guess when they washed their dish and the water went to the drain the gas went up. Yesterday it also stinks like garlic and kimchi, then later afternoon I found out that there are people having barbecue party in the garage so probably they prepared kimchi for their barbecue party and washes the dishes today.

Home-cooking and Blogging Life

I am quite busy lately and as usual both online and offline. Offline I need to cook a lot for my husband's meal, it is every three hours. I just cooked three or four times a day because few of his meals are just whey and small portion of rice. Despite of this I still feel very busy that I felt procrastinated to post something on my blogs. Dunno if this procrastination is brought by too much work just to published a post. Imagine in Wordpress I need to upload it in other site and etc. unlike in blogger all I need is to directly upload the photo in my post.

Spicy Chicken

Anyway I wake late today and still sleepy. I was not able to finish adgitizing because I have no more time to do it I have too cook some chicken in hot and spicy sauce.

Nonghyup Supermarket in Icheon

I am quite busy these past few days both online and offline. Instead of going to the gym every night my husband and I decided to take a walk.  So every night if we are not in the gym we are walking around Icheon, and it is a good thing because we discover more place, store and establishment around us like this big Nonghyup Supermarket which already looks like a mall.

Nonghyup Supermarket Icheon

We went inside and bought few items like noodles, beets and mouth wash.  As we would like to buy more we can't because this supermarket is quite too far from our place and we are in diet, we don't need much aside from vegetables and fruits. I think this is the main hub of Noghyup Supermarket near our place.

Krispy Kreme from Seoul

I only know one doughnut shop in Philippines and that is Dunkin Donuts, that's why when my husband told me about Krispy Kreme I thought it is a new doughnut shop but I was wrong.

Krispy Kreme was founded by Vernon Rudolph on 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, it is an international chain of doughnut stores. The parent company of Krispy Kreme is Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (NYSE: KKD) and is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States.

My husband told me Krispy Kreme is a way better than Dunkin Donuts, yeah right but it is also a way expensive too. This is my favorite flavor Blueberry and honey glaze. Honey glaze is the signature item of Krispy Kreme and traditionally served warm.

A Little Dark on Monday

I am quite busy these past few days tweaking some theme so hope you understand why I seldom visit and left a comment, anyway I stopped tweaking for a while because my computer is not working properly I think because I have a lot of images in my computer plus I have only 15G left on my hard drive even my hard drive won't affect my memory it still disturbs me thinking that 16G USB has a bigger space than my computer. So I am cleaning my computer and updating all the necessary software.

Oh well today I went to  the postal office to mail the box for a friend in Philippines it's been in our apartment for few weeks and I just mailed it. Actually it supposed to be mailed in Christmas like what I told her but I guess she is excited, haha. Like what is expected the postal fee is expensive than the amount of what is inside the box, haist life!

Dunno if we are going to the gym today we didn't go last week because we prefer to walk around the neighborhood nope actually city because we reached up to the national road to Seoul. It is spitting outside, so the sky is kind of dark.

The Old Apartment in Seoul

It's been ages since I joined nostalgia because I have been busy and partly I can't think of something that will remind me. The photo below was taken a year ago in our old apartment in Seoul, it has two rooms and the small room that will supposed to be kid's room is our dresser or room for clothes. We are heading to China the next day that's why our clothes are already packed and only left on the rack are my day clothes.

That day too my husband new camera just arrived and he took a sample shot of me while closing the door in the balcony.

Cleaning and Organizing the Apartment

It just started by my things filing up in the closet, small towels, unused brassiere and underwear's that are still packed on their little pouch. My husband noticed that the stuff on the little board is getting heavier and it might lost control and will result to a big mess.

So he removed the makeshift board at top and transfer the underwear's and socks to floor cabinet, and the things on the floor cabinet to the built-in cabinet near the main door and my junk in the built-in cabinet to trash can and box.

Photobucket

It took me so long to segregate things as everything are precious to me, we ended up throwing the red food cover given to us by Nonghyup Supermarket, the old scale, old umbrella and my old sandals then after cleaning we went shopping to Lotte Super, we shopped mostly vegetables I'll blog it to my food blog if not today maybe tomorrow.

Juicer and A Sample of Carrot Juice

As we don't have a gym schedule tonight my husband and I went out to pay the internet bill, to canvass the amount of fruits and vegetables between the three big supermarket around us and to pick the juicer that we ordered from Samsung appliance store. Well after canvassing and the jotting down the prices as we want to know which supermarket sells a nice deal of what we wanted. The end result we still picked Kim's Club Mart.

Photobucket

Anyway when we reached home we excitedly try our new juicer by preparing a carrot juice, we used 1 1/2 carrot and a small piece of ginger and we got 250ml of juice.

Sick Feeling, Feeling Sick

It's been a long time since my last post here huh? I was feeling sick these past few days then my monthly visitor came that makes me roll in pain, then the next day I just wake up with headache. It feels like my head is spinning dunno where did I get it all I know I just ate rice that night before I sleep,  Pookie bear says maybe I am dehydrated so I drink a lot of water but the headache won't go away, then I recall the pain I felt when I encountered food intolerance it is the same feeling. I immediately took some spoon of sugar and rested for a while I feel like vomiting but my stomach is empty though.

So the whole week I just lay down on bed, watch some TV shows online and sleep,  as I would like to post something on my blog or design some wordpress theme I can't do it since I feel sick, I remember my Facebook update that I feel like my head is gonna explode that's what I felt these past few days, it feels like my head is gonna blew up if I force it to think. Teary eyes added to the injury it looks my eyes don't like the bright of my computer dunno if I am gonna retired from blogging or I need an eyeglass. Huhuhu

So sorry guys for being away. I am thinking of returning to my tweaks as soon as possible. See yeah!

Today is Gwangbokjeol Here in Korea!

August 15 is a public holiday so we had a long weekend the gym is close too which makes me happy (hehe).  I am not really enjoying the gym these past few days because my back bothers me.

Anyway you might ask what is Gwangbokjeol it literally means "Restoration of Light Day" to make it short its Liberation Day it commemorates Victory over Japan Day, which liberated Korea from colonial rule. The South Korean government was created three years later, on August 13, 1948, when Syngman Rhee was sworn in as the first President of South Korea and Gwangbokjeol was officially designated a public holiday on October 1, 1949.

We'd watched an Indian horror movie a while ago entitled "Haunted" was not able to watch it fully because I am kinda busy blogging.

Changes in Icheon and Procrastination

I have been procrastinated these past few days, we are away for almost one week so I had  a marathon reading of all the things I missed, like reading online news papers and etc.

As I walked around the vicinity I have noticed some changes, there are two built stores and there's a store that closes already,  imagine that it  only happens in one week what more in one month?  Maybe I am going to be lost already, haha. Just a short update about me, I'll post more when there's a topic that will blink on my mind.
