Pasalubong once again

Pasalubong once again, last night when hubby arrive he’s bringing a Baguette and a pack of bread with honey inside, I thought that’s all he got but when I opened his bag, Jezzz…more stuffs inside, 450 grams of peanuts, moon cake and bread again. The baguette and honey bread doesn’t included in the picture because it is already been eaten before I remember the photo session. (lol)
Baguette was not enough that I need to run to Tous Le Jours to buy a Swizz bread. Yummy especially when there is margerine…

Our First Valentine Together

Few more days and it is already Valentines Day. Any plans for it? My husband kept asking me if where I want to go on Valentines Day, or where we going to celebrate it. Normally if there’s an occasion we’re eating lunch/dinner outside and then before we came home we’re going to buy a special cake.

I told him either to Outback Steakhouse or in a Mexican Restaurant, I also suggest to him that we should try “hot pot” in a Korean restaurant where seafoods is freshly cooked at your table but he said we should try it on our last night here in Korea. Outback is my favorite steakhouse, I love their food, and beverages. When it comes to Mexican, I love their food esp. burito and chili fries and a lot more.

This is our first valentines together, so it might be special not like the previous years we just greet each other by an e-card, but he never forget to send chocolates, dozen of roses and big teddy bear to me by ordering online. It was also last Valentine when I received a digital camera from him as gift, so my cam is already one year in my possession.

What’s my gift for him? Nothing big, just a chocolate and a simple card (photo), he loves white chocolates so much with cookies and cream that’s what the chocolates I have for him. “Sorry Sweetie that’s all I can afford, you know I don’t have a work and you never gave me allowance anymore (lol). Actually he already seen the chocolate, I bought it along with the Pink Kisses on my previous blog, I manage to kept it on my arm but he showed up from the big room and ask me what I have, he kept insisting and darn….he said sorry afterwards.

WThe photo looks gay, I edited it eh., this is my 4th entry for I LOVE PINK!

Just a thought

The other night after school my husband met a recruiter in Seonjong Station, for a job interview in Gimpo. Well the offer is good, free apartment, return airfare, one month extra if you finished the contract and etc.,
He arrived already late, I was bit worried that time. He told me, he also got a demonstration that’s why he took so long. Haha, when I opened his bag he has a “pasalubong” for me. As usual it is times 2, I just shoot a photo of my share. Hmmm… just a thought, frequently he have something for me when he arrived home, the other night a box of cake and etc.,
Anyway our visa here in Korea is going to expire soon as my husband contract going to end soon too. Well if he can’t find a job, I have to go home to Philippines.

Always times 2 not 1

Another hungry weekend had passed, it is normal that we are going to buy food times 2, my husband appetite won’t agree with the term sharing in terms of food.
The owner of Pizza Maru told me in her little English to call if we want pizza because they offer delivery unfortunately our phone is broken, so I told her we don’t have a phone. Well even though we have a phone, hard to tell our direction in Korean language.
When I left the Pizza Palace, I smiled when she says “Goodbye Sir”.

“Where’s your ice cream?”

It’s Thursday again, time for Pink Meme. There’s nothing very special with my pink fever today. Last week around one o’clock in the morning, a hunger strikes us. So I went to “Buy the Way” to buy onion rings and a Hershey’s bar but I was so tempted to buy these Kisses chocolate when I saw them in the stand because it is pink, along with this chocolate I also bought a sweet stick bread, also in pink.
When I arrived home, my husband asked me “Where’s your ice cream?” Lol, my ice cream became chocolate. I have told him I am going to buy an ice cream for me when I left our apartment to store but my attention was caught by the pink kisses on the stand. He just nodded his head on disbelief.

Plugged Pipe…? Call your wife…

I have been joining a lot of giveaways yesterday, hoping to win and bag home some prizes (lol). Previously I have joined few giveaways, been lucky to win but never received yet the prize.

To start the story, yesterday when I open the fridge and saw my leftover chunks of tuna, I don’t feel like eating it anymore so I throw them at the sink and pour water on it. It is just a small piece, maybe one spoon of tuna but it seems I plugged the sink. I did not tell my husband what happen because as I see it, the water goes down still but very slowly.
When myy husband left for work, I just continue my daily routine, blogging and looking for online work. It was late at night (last night) when my husband arrived, when I opened his bag I was so surprised to find peanuts, chocolates and bread inside. It is not his habit to buy extra food after class, as I washed his food container I told him that it seems the sink is plugged. He ask me what did I do with it, I just told him I throw a small piece of tuna leftover. He doesn’t believed me, he thought I throw something bigger than the tuna. I try to fix it, but it is still unplugged, I put a metal stick to push anything inside but it doesn’t help, used the TV cable outside the balcony to push something inside the pipe, still useless. My husband want me to call the landlord below, to tell him what happened to our sink, but I don’t want him to disturb late at night. I have told my husband I will do it tomorrow but he did not agreed because where am I going to wash the dishes after meal.

He really insisted I have to call for help to our landlord, but I am the type of person who never ask for help unless someone help. And partly, even I went down to our landlord house, I don’t know how to explain it because we cannot understand each other, our landlord only knows few words of english. So what I did, I ask permission to my husband if I can untie the pipe below the sink, he just told me do whatever you want. He is so kind not to help me, he said it is my fault so I have to fix it on my own, because I did not help him when he plugged the toilet (lol).

So I do what I want, untie the pipe below and clean it. It smell very gross though, I did not see any chunk of tuna in it, all I have seen is dirt and egg yolks. It’s a hard job because you cannot move the sink to fix the pipe below. On the right , my picture while fixing the pipe below the sink, with my husband feet. He just love being around and looking. (lol)
Below is the picture after finishing my job. Who said you need a plumber when your wife is better than the plumber. (lol)

Dumplings on the go

There are times that I feel bored and tired eating food, since I arrived here in Korea I never got a chance to taste Filipino food anymore. I am tired eating ready to eat food, like canned goods and those food which are pre-heated.
Normally my food here consist of eggs, kimchi, tuna and some hotdogs which are different from the hotdogs I used to know.
We usually eat dumplings or shumai in other term, this is one of my favorite Chinese food. Dumplings are cooked balls of dough. They are based on flour, potatoes, bread or matzoh meal, and may include meat, fish, or sweets. They may be cooked by boiling, steaming, simmering, frying, or baking. Ingredients may be as a part of a filling, or mixed throughout the dumpling. Dumplings may be sweet, spicy or savoury. They may be eaten alone, in soup, with gravy, or in many other presentations. The most easiest for me to cook dumpling is by putting it in the oven the pour spaghetti sauce or soy sauce, and last night I just ate these dumplings without eating rice, I think I ate a lot because I feel like puking.

High-cut pink

It was been a long time since I got an entry in Pink Meme, and today I try hard to look for something pink in my vault of pictures, luckily I encounter this picture (this is me when I was younger) I mean this is my younger sister in her new pink shoes. It was taken last June before I left the Island of Romblon, Philippines. My mother and I bought this in Baclaran, we really look for this pair of shoes because my sister requested it as “pasalubong” so even the sun was so hot we patiently look for a pink one and this kind of shoes (high -cut). I can’t remember how much is it but the price ranges from P300-P400. It was so hard to look for a pink one because this shoes was just new trend that time.

Yay, the blouse is also a pink one ah, its from Natasha one of my favorite blouse.

Dirty Wednesday

This is a funny shot of my shoes after a long day of tour in Polonnaruwa, kind of messy huh? It’s been one month since we travel in Sri Lanka but I just washed my shoes this week, actually it is still in a drying stage. You know why? When we arrived here in Seoul, it is snowy, I only have one shoes with me so if I wash this I don’t have any shoes to wear if we are going outside. Toinkz!

We left my old sloppy shoes in the last hotel we stayed in China that’s why I don’t have a spare one and I can’t buy lot of things in here because I can’t carry them when we are going to leave Korea.

Saturday Gimbap

Last Saturday we went to International Clinic, Itaewon to have my second B shots (Hep B). Actually I am kinda one week late, but hubby feel tired during that week. Whew, the shot was kinda hurt, the nurse had also told me my arm will be numb for few days and she was right. Well we have to return again in June for my second A & third B shots. Hopefully we are still here.

Itaewon is kinda far from us, I wore three clothes behind my coat that day. I just want to make sure that my snut will not run away from my nose because of cold temperature. (lol) I have learn my lesson the other week when we go to Canadian Embassy I am so cold that time.

Anyway, it was been a long time since we ate Gimbap, a popular Korean fast food made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried seaweed) and served warm in bite-size slices. Gimbap is often eaten during picnics or outdoor events, or as a light lunch, served with danmuji or kimchi. It is similar, but not identical, to norimaki, one of the many variants of the Japanese rice-based dish sushi.

The basic components of gimbap are rice, meat or other protein-rich ingredient, and a large variety of vegetables, pickled, roasted, or fresh. Traditionally, the rice is lightly seasoned with salt and sesame oil/perilla oil. Popular protein ingredients are fish cake, crab meat, eggs, and/or seasoned beef rib-eye. Vegetables usually include cucumbers, spinach, carrots, and danmuji (pickled radish). After the gimbap has been rolled and sliced, it is typically served with danmuji.
