Ruby Tuesday- Azaleas

When Spring time flower blossoms, this picture was taken three weeks ago here in Korea. You can see a lot of flowering flowers everywhere here. I don’t know what’s the name of this flower but as what I found online it is called Azaleas are flowering shrubs making up part of the genus Rhododendron. Originally azaleas were classed as a different genus of plant, but now they are recognized as two of the eight subgenera of rhododendrons – Pentanthera (deciduous) and Tsutsuji (evergreen). Azaleas bloom in spring, in damp mountainous places, their flowers dying only a few weeks later. They do not need as much sun as other plants; they live near trees and sometimes under them. Azalea is also the flower of the astrology symbol Sagittarius.

So here’s a scramble eggs with kimchi, at first I don’t know if it is possible but the fire made it possible.  Hubby like it so much..

Dongdaemon – Gate of Rising Benevolence

It’s Monday again, another great day to start in spite of the sad news that we had received last night, hubby’s maternal grandmother just left to be with her creator at the age of 92.  I have ask him if he is going home to Canada, he said no maybe because he cannot left his work here.

This is really a true blue Monday, anyway this is my shot taken in Dongdaemon, hubby walked me here after eating at the Everest restaurant (Nepalese cuisine) as a celebration of  our first wedding anniversary.

Heunginjimun, literally “Gate of Rising Benevolence” or more commonly known as Dongdaemun is a prominent landmark in central Seoul, South Korea. The Korean name “Dongdaemun” means “Great East Gate,” and it was so named because it was the major eastern gate in the wall that surrounded Seoul during the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is located at Jongno 6-ga in Jongno-gu.

The structure was first built by King Taejo during his fifth year of reign (1396). It was renovated in 1453, and the current structure is the one rebuilt in 1869.
Today, the area around Dongdaemun known as Dongdaemun Market includes upmarket shopping districts as well as several underground shops, stalls and markets that are open for much of the day. It has grown into the largest shopping center in South Korea. In 2007, the City of Seoul started Dongdaemun Design Project (DDP), to renovate what used to be Dongdaemun Stadium (an amateur baseball park). With world-famous architect Zaha Hadid’s design, when completed this structure is expected to be one of the most notable landmarks in downtown Seoul.
As of 2010, the Seoul Subway station name there was changed to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station.

Camera Critters – Hungry Cat

Just found this picture in my batch of photos, this is a hungry cat in Korean Folk Village Food Court, while we are eating, this cat is waiting around. I managed to give him a piece of my food in my husband dismay because he said it is improper. My husband became upset of me because when I feed the cat, he accidentally scratch my wrist.
When we left, he and his girlfriend (cat) jumped into the table eating our left over food.

Dizzy Saturday

Nothing to do, I woke up today around 2:54 in the afternoon. Very late riser huh? I slept 5:38 this morning that’s why I woke up so late. I was surprised when I turn off the light to sleep because it’s already day light outside I did not notice it.
As I woke up I immediately grab my laptop below the bed and do some clicky ads. Then around 3 something I ate my breakfast, coffee and a box of cookies.  That’s all I have eaten, right now I am feeling dizzy, plus my thighs are aching again from the work-out. I feel hungry but I don’t know what to eat..I am so picky! Huhuhu!
Anyway, I love french fries so much. So every time we go to a fast food its on my order, there are times I bought a potato in the market and make my own french fries. Last night I have fried the last potato fries left on the fridge.

Looking at the Sky on Friday

Bluehoney : look there’s a big bird!
San Andres was originally a barangay of Odiongan which became a municipality on 1920. It was a native settlement of nipa huts known as Parpaguha, named after a rare large bird that had its nest among the thicket along the river where settlement was located.
Among the first Spaniards to reach Parpaguha during the later half of the 19th century was Don Jose de Tiran, a military commander of Romblon who set out an inspection trip of the surrounding villages. On reaching the place he ordered a civil guard to fetch a glass of water from nearby well. The water turned out to be salty and the Spaniard yelled “Salado”, issuing an official order to that effect.
In 1882, a prominent resident of Salado named Rufino Leano was accused of a crime by an influential Spaniard, Don Barcelo. Don Barcelo succeeded in having Leano imprisoned without trial in the provincial jail of Capiz (which Romblon then belonged to as a sub-province).
Years later, the Spanish Governor-General Eulogio Despujol visited Capiz, and Leano successfully sought an audience with him. Governor Despujol found Leano innocent and set him free. On reaching his hometown, he successfully petitioned the provincial governor to change the name of Salado to “Despujols” in honor of the Governor General.

The third change of name during the late years of President Carlos P. Garcia’s administration. Because the town’s name was reminiscent of Spanish tyranny, the town was renamed “San Andres” in honor of the town’s patron, Saint Andrew, patron of fishermen. Most of the people of San Andres are fishermen. The name was changed by an executive order enacted June 18, 1961.

I am not a freak but I am scared

I am freaking out this past few days, I thought I am going to have a heart attack because of my foolishness . As I have said on my previous blog I have been hooked up reading paranormal stories, yeah true stories. Then I just feel afraid, fear struck on me. The other day I can bear the fear not until last night Catlaine send me a youtube link for unsolved mysteries when I shared to her what I am doing and reading. So I watched then read, then it just happened that I am now afraid to be alone here at our apartment.  I didn’t moved into the bed until hubby came from his early class, I just ate cereal and milk. When he went back to school I am all alone again and make myself busy blog hopping and posting some blogs, when he returned home this afternoon he asked me if I am ready for our gym. I told him I did not yet ate because I am freaking afraid to get off the bed. So while he is changing his clothes I hurriedly drink two bottle of liquid yogurt then we head to the gym.
Guess what happened? My legs are shaking in the gym doing squats, leg curls and using the machine. It is dark to see, dizzy and feeling weak. Hubby told me to breath while I am doing the work-out, then I remember I did not eat anything aside from the cereal and milk. So I beg him to go home, because I feel so weak. We still finished the work-out but not the cardio,  Now I learned my lesson don’t read and watch if I can’t bear the consequences, and  to eat first before gym, or else I am going to collapse.

GT: Shower Loot

While I am blog hopping today I stumble at Girl’s Rule blog. I got interested to join their fun, I am a new member of female network (teheee). Anyway today they’re talking a shower loot, what’s on my basket?

I love using Avon product, but since I don’t know if there’s Avon here in Korea I am using Nivea lotion, and roll on. As you can see I have foot lotion, foot scrub, foot cream. I am very particular of my feet, once my cousin saw me using Eskinol on them (lol). As of now I am not that vain anymore when it came to my feet, but still on my hair my bath is not complete without a conditioner.

How about you? Care to share what’s inside your shower loot? Or share what you use during shower/bath time..

Shoot Me coz I love Pink

This is me and my niece, my older cousin’s daughter. Hubby says she’s my cousin not niece, a cousin once remove. We always had a discussion about calling my father’s cousin as Aunt , my cousin’s children as niece or nephew and etc., in Philippines we call them like that but it is different from what he know, well as he said he is the one making a genealogy tree so he knows it well.

This was taken on her birthday, my mother and I is heading to Manila that time to work for my visa.

I uploaded this pictures on one of my social networking sites, my online friends thought she is my daughter because we look similar.

Nostalgia #3 – My sister and I

As what I have said before I am the oldest in two daughters of my parents ,I have five years age gap with my younger sister. I am already in my grade school and she’s still on her preparatory. My sister and I were close when she’s still a toddler, what I mean we never quarrel. She’s afraid to me especially when I am holding my father’s belt . But when she grow up not anymore..(lol).

We are really opposite to each other, she has the talent I don’t have and I have mine she doesn’t have. If her mole is on right, mine is on left,  my birthmark is on my upper body she had on her lower body. She has a white skin like our mother, I am brown like our father.

This is us now…
